Was originally skeptical if the Myrkl would be effective with a marathon of drinking, but 3 days of preloading worked like a charm. Never had a hangover, just a few days of terrible sleep but nothing that a few espressos couldnāt fix.
How would you experienced folks supplement for a vacation stint of 2 weeks where you expect to be drinking significantly (2 - 3 bottles for 2 people, sometimes gin as well) at lunch every day?
Just preload for a week and then take Mirkl before lunch. Assuming you are only doing Mirkl. If you also add TWF, that would be with the Mirkl and again before bed.
Drop Zbiotics?
Not for me, but depends on what someone has the appetite for.
I think the Myrkl winefix Zbiotics waterboy stack worked like a dream. I was in much better shape this year than last;
Iāve been using Myrkl for a few weeks now, and Iām starting to be a believer. I took two yesterday at 3PM and went to a bar at 5 and ordered a martini, which came in a massive glass filled all the way to the brim. I mean, it was like three drinksā worth of alcohol, and by the time I got close to finishing it, I thought Iād be crawling out of the place.
Then we went home and had dinner, split a bottle of red Burg between the two of us. I was exhausted and went to bed early after chugging like a gallon of water. To my surprise, I slept quite well with a resting HR of 51 on my Oura, and I woke up with no nausea or headache. I do still feel quite tired but otherwise not bad at all.
Anyone tried Capsulyte? Has been recommended to me in several whiskey groups
Iāve had better results with DHM alone than any combination.
This past weekend I did the mini prep with Myrkl, starting with 2 caps a day from Thurs to sat with another 2 caps an hour before drinking, along with 5 wine fix (3 before, 2 after) and zbiotics, and felt completely normal the next morning after about ~6-6.5 glasses of wine. This was my sleep on sat night.
Yes, I have Pregame. Itās fine like so many of the others. Similar to TWF, but I donāt think itās as good and it doesnāt do a whole lot on its own.
I did find a 30% off promo code for anyone interested in Capsulyte Pregame - UNCUT30
and thank you @MChang I used your TRYMYRKL promo
OK, Iām a believer in the Chang method! Iāve tried the Z biotics four different times now, including all three nights of this masters weekend. And we definitely consumed our fair share. I did not have any hangovers, and while admittedly, you start the day a little tired, cause we all know how the wine affects your sleep, but we had some big long days. Iām in.
I think itās less about that and more about the fact that your body still has to process all the poison you consumed. When you are hungover, you are tired also, this just removes the hungover part, but youāre still not doing your body any favors.
Just was watching Roryās media session on Sunday and he said he was going to celebrate the win to the fullest and was probably going to have a bit of a sore head flying back home the next day.
Somebody get the man some Mirkl + Zbiotics!
Just to reiterate the regimen Iām using which has very effective (affiliate and non-affiliate links below). Iāve used this regimen with great success at events like La Paulee where hundreds of wines were poured and for regular wine dinners as well. I have had excellent success with sleep and recovery as tracked by wearables.
The regimen:
~1 hour before drinking:
Waterboy weekend recovery electrolytes with a liter of water.
2 capsules of Myrkl For a big night you can start 2 days prior and for a big weekend you can start with 2 caps a day a week in advance.
Before bed:
Waterboy weekend recovery electrolytes with a liter of water.
Myrkl and Zbiotics are genetically engineered probiotics which digest alcohol and acetylaldehyde, respectively. The wine fix (DHM) upregulates acetylaldehyde metabolism in the liver, and electrolytes help prevent dehydration.
Seconding this. I was skeptical but I did Myrkl, Wine Fix, and Zbiotics and this totally worked. I had some liver soreness after the weekend but I chalk that up to trying a bajillion wines and drinking nonstop 3 days straight lol. Despite that - I felt fine / not very hungover!
Interested: how does one distinguish liver soreness from other types of aches-and-pains in the same general area?
