I had this a few years ago & scored it 99/100
In hindsight i should have given it my first ever 100/100
Great drinking
Regards
Michel

+1, one of the two best champagnes of my life along with the 71 Krug collection both in magnum.
2003 Jaffurs Melville. Underrated, under appreciated, but the standard by which all other Central Coast Syrahs should be judged.

it was shared very generously. I looked to purchase some (ouch) and instead backfilled on the 96 Oeno
2007 Abreu Thorevilos
2005 SQN Atlantis Syrah (my last bottle, sadly)
2012 Rhys Alpine PN
Please tell us about the Abreu .
2009 SQN This is Not an Exit Syrah
2009 Saxum James Berry Vineyard
2006 Aubert ChardonnayBut June is not over and I am looking forward to the 2000 Conterno Granbussia and the 1966 Clos Fourtet I’m opening Saturday and whatever else people bring to BF 7.0
I did not open the Granbussia, but the 2004 Henri Bonneau Réserve des Célestins that Mr. Pomegranate Smoothie brought is definitely a candidate.
88 Guigal La Turque and La Landonne drunk last night are contenders.
La Tache 1959 , La Landonne 78 or Petrus 49 , I think .

I had the 1971 of this Champagne at the end of the first Galloni La Festa del Barolo after more than 40 wines, and still blew me away. Absolutely stunning stuff.
Not really gotten to the very high end this year but the two highlights have been
2007 Lillian Syrah
2009 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir
1890 D’Oilveiras Verdehlo (Thank you, Eric Ifune!)

A wine rarely sticks out in my mind as a WOTY and I am surprised a sweet one would but this was awesome. So much going on, amazing balance, sweet but not cloying, and ethereal… glad I bought a case based on my experience with the producer.
