just got back from the green market and Flying Pigs Farm (my preferred vendor for all things oink) had some great looking bacon ends – big, fat chunks of fat and meat. got a big bag of dried cannellini beans from kalustyans too. was thinking of some sort of kale stew with beans and bacon. any ideas? something hearty. maybe throw in some duck legs?

the white beans and bacon sound good too. put a bread crumb topping on it. season the breadcrumbs with parsley, thyme, olive oil and parmesan cheese.
Mmmmmm . . . spaghetti alla carbonara.
