So far Applebee’s has 3-1/2 stars and someone gave Domino’s 5 stars. Ugh.
Fine dining is Eddie’s Supper Club and Coffee? with “geriatric waitresses and red cushioned booths”. I may just have to find the best steak in town and leave it at that. Have yet to find a restaurant in town that has a web page. Wish I could stash a bottle of vino in my carry-on.
Desperately seeking good food…
Hurry, there’s still an opportunity for fellow Beserkers to rescue my dinner tonight.
It’s a long drive back home from Montana. I’ll be pulling a “Smokey and the Bandit” (long way to go and a short time to get there) So this is my only chance.
Pretty please.
All I can say is that I’m so happy that NoCal is a short 19hr drive from this culinary abyss.
Best I could muster up was a 16oz rib eye that other than being rare was not what I expected from such a good cut of beef. No seasoning and it looked like a NY strip rather than a Rib Eye. The baked potato was the best part of the meal.
Wine selections included Menage a Trois, Rodney Strong Cabernet, Bogle Pinot Noir and Yellow Tail.
My daughter and I drove through Great Falls last summer. While I don’t have any great culinary experience to recommend, we did manage to have very good steaks at some big steak house on the main east-west drag on the south side of the town (east of the big muddy). You’re essentially in beef country, so try the native food.
