Gel Mats: Do you use them/like them?

Update: contacted Gelpro and with the photos I sent, they are replacing our mats hassle free. Increases my confidence in buying from them in the future.

That’s great CS! Makes me feel better about my purchase. Thanks for posting your experience.

We have one in the kitchen, and I think they are essential. Without shoes, I almost leap onto them to get off the tile.

Another fan here. I have foot problems and the difference with and without them on tile is huge.

thx got one

I’ve now had my gel pro plush mat for about a week and I’d like to thank everyone in this thread who recommended them. Wish I’d bought one years ago.

Got two long ones, in front of sink and cook top. Mine are 3 yo and not curling yet. Best in bare or stocking feet. Love them.

received this one 2 days before I saw the groupon offer I posted above. Different mat than the groupon.

so far so good

We have the smooth surface… which to me is easier to clean. But I only have that reference!!

Have one in front of the stove and on where I prep and feed the kids when they are eating at the counter (just to the side of the sink). Absolutely love them.

I am glad that somebody brought up the curling, as it seems one of mine is starting to.

Anybody know if they will custom make one so that I can go all the way around the interior of the kitchen? Almost a square, except the entry to the kitchen and where the sink is, which angles across one point of the square.

Curling seems to be a universal complaint.

Hmmmmmmm. . .mine haven’t started curling. . .yet. . .after three years in November. Maybe the curling has something to do with sun exposure, relative humidity, somehow shrinkage of the top surface??? If they curl, I’ll be very upset because of the cost and because the mfg. knows about the problem and has apparently taken no steps to correct it.

This may be coincidence but one week after starting to use my gel mat the right ankle pain I’ve had for the last 3-4 years went away. I didn’t even notice it at first until I realized that I accidentally did an hour on the treadmill without my ankle brace with no ill effects.

I realize that to be more certain I should take the mat away and see if the pain comes back but I’m not going to do that
