We’re considering an early December visit and would probably stay in the historic river district. Has the area recovered from the storms to make a visit enjoyable?

I was there the week after, delivering a few thousand dollars worth of stuff to various family members (my Melbourne Costco had full stock/power) and the damage was quite real even that far from the coastline. However, once power was restored (everywhere) the repairs from Englewood to Naples progressed quickly (ok, within 12 months). There was so much demand that many homeowners are still waiting for some repairs; hotels/restos/etc., not so much. If I was going there (now) for the first time and didn’t know a serious hurricane hit there, I’d not know/see anything that would suggest otherwise.
