Friday night pizza TNs: Due' Chianti

I was worried that the Montenidoli would get crushed by the Castell’in Villa, but to be honest, I’m not sure I could pick a favorite here tonight.

I would have difficulty picking a favorite between these two wines.

  • 2010 Montenidoli Sono Montenidoli Toscana IGT - Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT (3/27/2020)
Gorgeous - seamless and expansive on the palate, red & black fruit - wow, is this in the zone right now. One of those wines where it’s drinking so well at the moment that I may not even bother trying to age a few, as it’s hard to envision it getting any better.

Bob, I hope you and yours are safe and making the best of these strange times. I don’t think I’ve had that particular Montenidoli, but I’m starting to wonder if any respectable winery made bad wine in 2010. Seems like all 2010 wines I open these days are delicious. I hope 2016 turns out the same. Cheers bud.
