Picked fresh today some Chard, Cayene and Garlic. Rendered a slice of bacon in a large pan added the garlic and pepper for 30 seconds topped with chard and covered for 15 minutes at a simmer. Served with a Costco Prime NY Strip and sprinkled with blue cheese crumbles. The cayene made the chard quite spicy and quite tasty. Paired with a 2007 Cabot Humboldt Syrah.
On a side note, should I leave these alone?
