Considering some of these as notes on the board on previous releases sound interesting. Wish there were some reds still available.
2015 King-Andrews
White Field Blend
The heritage revival continues! Grown in Suisun Valley’s King-Andrews Vineyard by dear friend Roger King, our field blend contains Chenin blanc, Green Hungarian, Vermentino, and Trousseau gris.
2015 Kirschenmann Ramato Pinot gris
The swan song of our Pinot gris from Kirschenmann; fermented on the skins in the traditional ramato style. Bringing all of the color, beautiful aromatics, and phenolic structure that make this bottle a compelling study in terroir next to our Dragone Ramato.
2015 Dragone Ramato Pinot gris
Up from the limestone and schist of our estate vineyard; fermented on skins and stems in the same ramato style as the above Kirschenmann. The Dragone shows a different angle of cut and definition than its stablemate – a difference bred in the stone, and expressed in the glass.
2013 Heinzelmann sparkling Riesling
We are beside ourselves with excitement to at last offer this first vintage of Methode Traditionelle Riesling from the Kick On Ranch in Los Alamos. 3 years sous tirage and with zero dosage, our Goblin King is beautifully precise, powerfully structured, and forever bent on all kinds of mischief.
We tasted thru the '14 versions of these three last night (TN’s to follow). I assume the '15 versions are very similar in style. The K-A is a very pretty perfumey great drinking
white. Of the Ramatos, the Dragone was the clear favorite. The Kirschenmann has a bit of coarseness that probably reflects its Lodi upbringing. The Dragone is much
more interesting & exotic. Both have little tannins for a skin-contact white/rose. Both are atypical of most Calif roses and very serious examples of a Friuli Ramato.
