Thanks for the feedback, Lee! I need to get started on another batch!

Order in! Got to taste through some barrels last spring with David — really enjoyed it out there and quite liked the wines. Thanks!

Thanks Daniel!

To all: feel free to reach out for a complimentary winery visit. Barrel tastings are fun-- we can taste through all six clones for the Cortell-Rose vineyard which are fermented and barreled separately, both destemmed and whole cluster (12 to try if you’re up for it : ). Which ones best show the terroir? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Have admired your offerings from afar in previous years and finally taking the plunge in '23. Cross-section of pinot and cider. Thanks!

won’t claim to know anything about terroir in oregon, but very informative to taste through the clones and see how my preferences for stems varied. I distinctly recall that 777 benefited greatly from stems, whereas (114 i think please correct me) I found to be far better without stems. Good lesson for me on the silliness of reducing a discussion of pinot to “wc or destemmed or %wc” as determinant wine characteristics. I knew clones mattered, but hadn’t noticed such an extreme difference in my preferences. Thank god you winemakers make the decisions on what tastes best for me!!!

Ordered a couple of Pinots and a bottle of Red Vermouth - can’t wait to try them!

Question for David or anyone who has had their red vermouth - is it compatible as a substitute for sweet vermouth in classic cocktails or best enjoyed on its own?

Thanks! On the red vermouth, it can go both ways: on its own or with tonic (try a twist or slice of orange); but yes, strong enough to handle whiskey and others in cocktails. There is a vermouth thread somewhere on the Board— let me know there what you think when you try the vermouth. Cheers,
