Flying out of Lyon airport: hotel advice/recommendations

We have a morning flight out of Lyon airport after two weeks in Burgundy. We’ve done this before with a very early (and expensive) taxi ride from Lyon center, praying that it would show up in time. Another time from the quaint midieval village of Pérouges 30 minutes or so away (if you make all the correct turns!).

This time, ideally, we would like to turn in the rental car at the airport the evening before, and stay overnight at the airport. It would be nice if the hotel had a shuttle or short walk to the airport, and food nearby.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

well, it depends if you want to go further into the city or not. OF course, i can recommend you stay in the heart of the city because of its wonderful views.

I took the train from the central station in Lyon to the airport. If I recall, a 30 minute ride. Maybe $25 USD one way. Not sure of hours of operation.
