I have filtered Vodka through activated Carbon in the past and it actually tasted better. Have people been doing this themselves or is it just too much work and effort to filter before drinking it. Recently I heard about a filter that works in the bottle itself and was wondering if anyone else has tried it out.

Vodka is supposed to be tasteless and odorless. How can it taste better?

Clearly you’ve never slummed it with vodka that was sub- $3 a bottle (circa mid 90’s pricing).
