For any of you living in the Sacramento area count yourself lucky to have a nice creative tapas restaurant like Ficelle in Winters, CA. This is not far from Davis or Vacaville and only slightly farther from Sacramento. It is an order at the counter , sit, and then they will then deliver the food to your table. Eventhough these are small tapas dishes there is plenty to the dishes to get a few bites out of it for two people. We had Moroccan lamb w/ sweet potato, an eggplant stack, mushroom ravioli, and meat empanada. All were well made and flavorful. They allow you to bring wine with $10 corkage. The total fare that included dessert and coffee came to less than $22/person. Another amazing place in the general area is Tazina Bistro in Woodland (across the street from the old opera house on Main Street) Great food-reasonable prices.

Tazina has good food but can be hit or miss. Last time I was there the Kobe burger was very good.

I’ve never had a bad Kobe burger at Tazina.
