It’s probably not stuck in Tracy. It could be in a trailer headed your way that doesn’t get scanned. Happens to me often on shipments to the east coast.
This (FEDEX) delays, re-routing, rescheduling, wrong update messages is getting ridiculous. I think it has gotten to the point that I will have to review my buying decisions based on who the delivery company. The risk is too high with FEDEX. I now have a package that is 4 days over due and the weather on east coast has changed for the worse. UGGGGGGGGG
Fedex just sent me the message “Hi, your package is delayed for operational reasons. It is scheduled to arrive on 3/28.”…HERE IS THE PROBLEM, IT IS 3/29! They are now 5 days off the original date…and a cold spell has hit the North East. UGGGGGG
Fedex On truck for delivery one day early. Minneapolis apparently the place to be for receiving wine ahead of time.
These temperatures are nothing to worry about.
Agree.
UPS on time from Winebuyer today. I guess the Minneapolis market has the best service in the country as both brands delivery on time, all the time.
I begged and pleaded with a company I bought some car parts from NOT to ship with FedEx, they said that was my only choice. Two packages, due today… and they’re not. Excuse #1, on both… “Shipment exception Barcode label unreadable and replaced”. I suspect #2 will be “Weather Delay - Delivery Not Attempted”. It will be 85 degrees here. ![]()
My most recent FedEx shipment (last week, I think) was picked up in Oregon Monday afternoon and arrived here (SF Bay Area) a bit after noon on Wednesday. Most of my shipments have been fine in last couple months (since holiday crunch). Sounds like some areas still have staffing issues.

This was from Michigan to SF.

Seems like more companies are going with UPS lately…?
As the OP and in the name of fairness, FedEx Ground delivered a box from the East Coast yesterday a day early and ahead of a heat wave.
Progress!
Not for wine but if you or your partner shop department store products, particularly beauty and fragrances, shopping Selfridges online is superb pricing is often less, sometimes significantly (I was purchasing a byredo fragance and it was $50 less than US equivalent stores like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstroms) and today I renewed my global express shipping with them where $55 gets me a year of unlimited express shipping from the UK via DHL. Items routinely arrive in a few days, DHL has an efficient online system that emails you for a signature if needed and Selfridges does a lovely job of packaging up whatever you bought. At Christmas time I did a large part of my toy shopping for grandsons there as well and got things within days even close to the 25th. I don’t understand why UPS and FedEx can’t do as well.
FedEx 3 for 3 this past week.
Last Bottle shipment coming from FedEx next week. Fingers crossed.
PULL DA PLUG on this subject?!?
FOUR DAYS for a case from MA to SF Bay Area via FedEx ground!!!
Well, hush my mouth!
I dunno, the Fedex delivery guy just carried a heavy package to my garage saving my back. Delivered early no less.
I received a standard FedEx ground delivery ordered on Friday at 11 AM at about 1 PM on Saturday. Maybe they have turned the corner?
Given the gazillions of packages they carry there will always be problems. FWIW, I checked our major carrier stats at work, and DHL is the worst for us, then followed by FedEx and UPS at essentially the exact same performance level as each other. We hate DHL.
DO NOT PULL THIS YET!
Wednesday my four pack was circling the Bay Area and scheduled for a delivery yesterday. Not on truck.tho in AM and a no show!.
Today, no delivery estimate.
Oh no, the black hole out in Tracey strikes again! Good thing it is cool weather, old Heitz and Mondavi Res. Cab
Reading all this makes me thankful that I either pick up most of my wine, or the winemaker delivers it (thanks Marcus Goodfellow , Erica Landon , John Paul, Doug Tunnell, Brian O’Donnell, and so forth)
