Can’t believe I forgot this on my list. Yes for sure. Frankly if I’m at a middling liquor store with limited selection and they have this it’s something I’ll buy almost every time. Always delivers, high quality product. Serious wine and affordable.

Billiot may be back on it. They used to be a favorite but dropped off my radar for a long time. Recent high ends bottles were superb so I want to try the NV wines again
Isn’t the Heidsieck the one Parker recommended as the best value in the champagne world which garnered a lot of back and forth?
For me it’s Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve. It’s just super solid, easy to find, and usually well priced. Enough nuance to be enjoyable, but also a great crowd pleaser. A few years of bottle age does it well, but it’s also good right off the shelf.
I admit that I’m biased though. This was one of my early wine epiphanies- the first “nice” sparkling wine I ever had. It felt like a big splurge at the time, but it really opened my eyes to the world of sparkling wine.
