Favorite All Purpose Seasoning

I hate to be a curmudgeon, but why not make your own? I grind fresh white and red peppercorns with cumin seeds and then blend in paprika, powdered onion and garlic, a bit of dried thyme, and some fresh rosemary when I am using it right away. I adjust between them based upon what I am using it for.

If you have to adjust it, then you don’t have a favorite.

I bought some Penzey’s Turkish seasoning and have had good results on lamb and chicken. Rubbed a pile into some flap meat with olive oil last night and grilled medium rare…incredible!

Been using Johnny’s for a while…seem to reach for it more than I realize.
My mother started using it too after she came for a visit…
