Especially close to or in old town Pasadena? We have a night away w/o the kids at the end of Feb.
Open to any type of food. Good Champagne list or corkage, preferred.

Bone Kettle (just ate there a couple of weeks ago; I’m not the biggest fan of Hot Pot though, but my cousins really loved it), Sushi Enya, Houston’s, Fleming’s and etc.
Salt & Straw is great too if you want some unique flavors of delicious ice cream.

I struggle with trying to think of special night out places in Pasadena (maybe I’m reading too much into the occasion).
One might be Welcome - Alexander's Steakhouse Pasadena which is close to Old Town.
Had a nice family meal at https://bistro45.com/ recently. I could see myself going there for an evening out with the SO.

I like Union , been twice. Italian. Upscale casual, not special night out fancy.
Don’t remember corkage.but likely allowed.

We ate at Union last night and liked it quite a bit.
Any recommendations for local takeout? We have an AirBnB here while visiting our daughter and her baby. We have wine and something casual at the condo with the family is ideal.
Looks like Bar Chelou is closed permanently -per Google Maps.
Around the Old Town area… Noodle St, Nha Trang, and Lunasia are solid for takeout.
Pie Life is pretty good for NY style pizza but it’s for the most part limited to pizza & salad. Howlin Ray’s fried chicken is nearby. Prime Pizza is farther out but has more options all in one.
Near PCC, Rice & Nori is good for hand rolls. Also a Dog Haus next door. As far as Mexican, I’ve liked Tacos 1986, Teddy’s, and El Metate
If you want to venture towards Eagle Rock, Milkfarm is a really good cheese store with sandwiches, wine, and boards. Little Flower is on the way for sandwiches, salads, etc

Was very disappointed in Union last time. Pasta is great, but it was freezing cold (sit on blasting on a cold night), and they basically blew me off when I asked about it.
Several other customer unfriendly issues during the meal, surprising as I never experienced it before.
