I was planning to grab Las Piedras but quite a jump in price after the 100 pt score in '23. $525 to $675 for 3pk. Need to think about it some more.

Yeah agreed - Pricing on those seems to be a bit outta my comfort zone having never tried them. Nature of the Beckstoffer tag I reckon. Already picked up Corrigan, MH, and Weitz this year. I will say that the Corrigan is a stellar wine (at a super fair price point) and will def at least pick up some more of that wine before the offer closes.

Anyone try out the Corrigan prior to the release and can comment on their impressions of it?

I mentioned above but it is stellar. Best wine from Calistoga I’ve had in recent memory. CT notes also great

Bit the bullet on a 3 pack of Las Piedras. That’s probably it for me for this release though.

Might be an unpopular opinion but this was absurdly priced ($525/3pk) for years. Surprising he was able to hold the line for so long…

I don’t think it’s really unpopular per se but I think even the producer realizes the difficulties in economics not only in production but in sale side. Producing a wine over $200 alienates some customers. That 23 is a really fantastic wine. Hard to imagine a better wine being made if you like both ripe and not overdone styling that’s all in balance. I’ll buy all the other vineyards this year. I’d like to see them offer a vineyard mix pack in the future.

I purchased the '23 that I learned about in the boards here. I opened on to get a gauge and was blown away. All the hallmarks of prime Napa floor fruit from a perfect ripening season presented in impeccable balance.

I had some reaction to the price increase but after a little thought went in for a 3-pack.

It may have been a good idea to give a heads up before the release but I still feel the price is fair in the market and they will sell it.

I’m in for a three pack of both- they are stellar wines.

And I also would love to see them do a bottle of each SVD in a wooden box, that would be amazing…
