@AlbertK you’re hired! Thank you for the thoughtful notes. Regarding cellaring our wines - We have been cracking our 2011 and 2012 syrahs at home and they are delightfully fresh and just starting to show the sanguine depth of mature syrah, I expect they have years of life ahead. Frankly, I was still just figuring things out a decade ago and the wines have gotten exponentially better as we’ve gained experience with each vintage.

Opened a 2018 Stoney Vine syrah last night after seeing the preview for W.T. yesterday. Classic WW rocks nose and fruit, elegant yet full of character, gorgeous aromatics, plenty of structure. While I generally avoid comparisons to other wineries as it can be unfair as each vigneron/producer is carrying out his/her own vision, I couldn’t help thinking this is “a mini- or mid-week Cayuse”. At least it’s in that general direction without as much volume. Fantastic stuff.

Thanks Steve. We picked the Stoney scarily early in 2018, the fruit tasted so damn good despite the sugar being so low. We crossed our fingers and prayed to break 12% abv and basked in the rare abundance of natural acidity in a rocks wine… nailed it! 12.1% 
To me, it feels almost like pinot but resonates with syrah and a big kiss of rocks funk. Its going to be very cool to see how this wine ages.
