First things First: Thank You to Todd and the entire Wine Berserkers Community for making this happen year after year, running the best wine (and wine-adjacent) community on the inter web.
This is Silas Wines’ 8th BerserkerDay, having started at Berserker Day X, and I can’t stress enough how exciting it is to be part of this growing phenomenon, but also how important it is for the life of small, independent wineries like Silas.
Support on Berserker Day, and from the community at large throughout the rest of the year, means that Silas can keep making wine the way we want to make it, knowing that there will be people at the end of the process who dig it, buy it, drink it, and come back for more.
We have been making elegant, character-focused wines in Amity, OR for almost 20 years. We keep it small (2,000 cases a year or less), high quality, and sell mainly through our Amity tasting room, Wine Club, and DTC (i.e. to people like YOU). Uncompromising, inspired wines that are unique in their blending and winemaking approach. Acid-driven, ageable Burgundian-inspired Pinots that we hold onto until we (and not our accountant) think are ready. That means 2017 and 2018 is our current Pinot vintage, with much more in the library (see below). Cru Beaujolais-style Gamay Noirs, darker and slightly brooding. Small batch Rieslings, informed by my years in NYC’s East Village running a Central European Wine Bar. A dry Bordeaux White blend with actual body and aromatics that kicks a**. Malbec co-fermented with a touch of Viognier, a Côte-Rôtie/Cahors mashup that just works. A dry, aromatic Rosé bubbly that’s technically “natural” but is so clean you’d never guess. It’s not your regular Oregon Winery lineup - we chase high quality vineyards that we think we can make into something fun, elegant and special.
As for me, I get up every morning and do what I do because I am passionate about wine and the life I get to lead. I am not independently wealthy, this isn’t a second trophy career after making it big, I don’t have connections in the industry or wine writers on speed dial. I’m an ex-chemist and standup comedian from NYC who opened a café and wine bar in the East Village, fell in love with wine, moved out to Oregon and started from the ground up. It’s a unique craft with tons of history, it’s how I feed my family, it’s beautiful, it’s frustrating, it’s Art. Sometimes it’s driving a forklift in the cold rain when you’d rather be doing anything but driving a forklift in the cold rain. Sometimes it’s absolutely sublime.
The WineBerserker Community plays a huge part in the ecosystem of top quality independent wineries, especially in these recent years, and your support is hugely appreciated. You’re already winning just by being on this site today. Thank you for your support, and stock up your 2026 cellars on these amazing deals.
I will be here all day - post questions in the forum, email me at alex@silaswines.com, or call.

· 2018 Gamay Noir – Croft Vineyard, Mt. Pisgah AVA
· 2019 Gamay Noir – Croft Vineyard, Mt. Pisgah AVA
· 2022 Gamay Noir – Croft Vineyard, Mt. Pisgah AVA
Our love of making Gamay started in 2014 with our version of a Cheverny table wine: about half and half Gamay Noir to Malbec, dark, rustic, jammy. From there we moved on to our pure Gamay Noir, trying to encapsulate what we love about Cru Beaujolais while expressing some of our own style: Whole cluster, somewhat reductive ferments that become nuanced, dark, fascinating Gamay Noirs. Wet slate & violet flower.

Berserker Offer #3
Malbec/Viognier Blend Trifecta– 3 bottles Maximum of 12 available before sold out
· 2015 Optimist Malbec – Chamberlain Vineyard, Applegate Valley AVA
· 2016 Optimist Malbec – Chamberlain Vineyard, Applegate Valley AVA
· 2017 Loess Malbec – Leonetti Family Estate Loess Vineyard, Walla Walla AVA
These Malbec-Viognier blends, like Cahors meets Côte-Rôtie, are one of a kind and a unique take on what Malbec can be. Not just a bruiser meant for a steakhouse, we’ve made a host of Malbec converts who are tired of being able to light matches off their soft palate after a glass of Mendoza (cool party trick though it may be.). Aromatic blue fruit, floral perfume and a velvet rope softness. The 2017 is a special one off (don’t ask how we got the fruit) from Leonetti’s Famous Loess Estate Vineyard in Walla Walla. All Viognier sourced from the Columbia Gorge AVA, 1300+ ft. elevation.
Retail $193 vs. BDXVII DEAL TODAY $130 (30+% SAVINGS)! Yes, Please
Berserker Offer #4
Riesling Trifecta – 3 bottles Maximum of 24 available before sold out
· 2020 Bois Joli Take 1 Riesling – Bois Joli Vineyard, Eola Amity Hills
· 2020 Bois Joli Take 2 Riesling – Bois Joli Vineyard, Eola Amity Hills
· 2024 Bois Joli Riesling – Bois Joli Vineyard, Eola Amity Hills
Three different takes on this amazing older vine Riesling Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. I spent a good chunk of my life in NYC at my little Café/Wine Bar called Ost Café, where I only sold wine from the footprint of the old Hapsburg Empire. So, lots of Riesling, and I fell in love. Some RS to balance the amazing acidity, and awesome Riesling aromatics. Only a few cases of the '20 vintage left - this will be the last time they’re available.
Retail $99 vs. BDXVII DEAL TODAY $69 (30+% SAVINGS)! Yes, Please
Berserker Offer #5
ROSÉ, WHITE, BUBBLY – 6 bottles
· 2024 Bois Joli Riesling – Bois Joli Vineyard, Eola Amity Hills
· 2022 SBS Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon) – Adams Vineyard, Chehalem Mountain AVA
· 2023 SBS Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon)
· 2024 SBS Blanc (Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon)
· 2021 Pinot Gris Orange Wine – Keeler Estate Vineyard (now Antica Terra), Eola Amity Hills
· 2025 Brave Combo Pét Nat (Dry, Clean, Rosé Bubbles)
We take pride in creating a small batch of unique whites, rosé & bubbly every year, displaying structure and complexity like the reds, and meant to be aged. The Riesling is absolutely singing and an amazing expression of that grape, and an example of why this is the favorite varietal of so many in the industry. The 2021 Skin Contact Gris is an orange wine with 14 days of skin contact: dry, ruby color, great weight, and drinking really well-the opposite of bachelorette party rosé. And yes, you read that year right: a Sauvignon Blanc / Sémillon Vertical out of the Willamette Valley, each vintage with a different personality. Finally, our always-sold-out-by-Fall Rosé Pét Nat. Halfway between a natural bubbly and a traditional method, this is dry, aromatic and a huge crowd pleaser.
Retail $180 vs. BDXVII DEAL TODAY $115 (35+% SAVINGS)! Ooh! Ooh! Pick Me!
Berserker Offer #6
SIX YEAR PINOT VERTICAL! – 6 bottles Maximum of 20 available before sold out
· 2013 PDX Pinot Noir
· 2014 Pearl Pinot Noir
· 2015 PDX Pinot Noir
· 2016 Ladd’s Addition Pinot Noir
· 2017 Ladd’s Addition Pinot Noir
· 2018 Pearl Pinot Noir
C’mon, you didn’t think you’d get through a Willamette Valley BD offer without a Pinot Vertical, right? A bottle from every year, 2013-2018. Take a tour of what was going on in Oregon, starting with a bottle from the Ugly Duckling year of 2013 that everybody wrote off, turning out to be elegant and beautiful with some age-very Burgundian character. 2014 through 2018 were warm years, but all warm years do not produce the same wines–see for yourself. Higher elevation and earlier picking (I pick on pH just as much as Brix) result in warm vintages that have all the weight and fruit power that one expects, while retaining the structure and brightness that comes with not letting the acidity disappear.
PDX is my (intentional) Willamette Valley Blend, and I make two reserve Pinots, one with an Old World focus (Ladd’s) and one with a New World focus (The Pearl).
Warning: If you are exploring Oregon wines and years, you might want to sign yourself up for two of these.
Retail $324 vs. BDXVII DEAL TODAY $195 (40% SAVINGS)! I want to drink those years
Berserker Offer #7
DRINK LIKE A WINEMAKER, SPEND LIKE A SORORITY GIRL – 12 bottles
OK, this is where it gets real. I think we all should be drinking more Pinot, and at these prices you can afford to have a bottle of powerful, elegant wine on your table no matter what day of the week it is. These are wines that I am day-to-day drinking (and day drinking) the most at the moment. And so, so different. I am happy to give Berserkers the opportunity to pick up a case of these wines at ridiculously low (i.e. don’t tell my accountant until after BDXVI) prices. And shipping is still only $25, no matter where you are.
· 4 bottles - 2018 PDX Pinot Noir
· 4 bottles - 2018 Ladd’s Addition Pinot Noir
· 4 bottles - 2017 Ladd’s Addition Pinot Noir
Retail $588 vs. TAKE A CASE HOME TODAY FOR $300 ( almost 50% SAVINGS WHAT?!?) Limited number of cases available, as this is below wholesale pricing! Yep-that’s under $25/bottle for small batch, elegant Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with 8-9 years of age on it. Unreal. yes. Yes. YES!
Berserker Mega Offer #8
Go Big Or Go Home - 36 Bottles
“Smokey, this is not ‘Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.” ($19/Bottle Killer Pinot Noir + Whites)
Well, sorry Walter Sobchak, but we are throwing out the rules. Here it is. $19/bottle top tier wines from the Willamette Valley. Two Cases of Pinot, one case of mixed whites. This is pretty much distribution pricing, and sweaty-palms-close to break even price. The PDX Pinot Noir is already priced lower than my others, though coming from the same vineyard sources and same processes, so that I can offer a sub-$30 high quality OR Pinot to people that have a Champagne palate with a Mountain Dew Credit Score, if you know what I mean. And here we go taking that pricing and drop kicking it. This aggression will not stand, man. Jump on this deal before it goes the way of Donnie.
Three Cases of Killer Oregon Wine, delivered to you
· 12 Bottles 2018 PDX Pinot Noir
· 12 Bottles 2017 Ladd’s Addition Pinot Noir
· 12 Bottles SBS Blanc Vertical + '24 Riesling
$19/Bottle. $684 for 3 cases. That’s not a typo. Nineteen. Dollars. That’s probably around $750 discounted off retail. I don’t even want to look it up. Please don’t tell my accountant.
Thank You Berserkers!
