A single-vineyard Merlot from the Los Carneros AVA is one of the coolest AVAs in Napa Valley
due to its southern location and proximity to San Pablo Bay. The cooler climate extends the growing season, allowing Merlot grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. The result is balanced acidity and soft tannins that produces a Merlot with elegance and complexity.

On the palette, this wine offers ripe, fresh fruit with cassis, redcurrant, and blackcurrant notes, silky textures and earthy undertones. A sophisticated Merlot - elegant and accessible! Perfect for any occasion from pizza to steak!

The Cabernet grapes are from a famous Rutherford vineyard in the middle of Napa Valley known for producing wines of exceptional character and elegance. This wine is elegant but weighty - with a powerful fruit component and balanced acidity that insures it will continue to improve for many years to come!

Our shipping deal is essentially a 50% discount on ground shipping. Greyscale Wines ships to all states except AK, HI, and UT. The following rates are the prices for shipping:

Shipping is ground delivery. Your wine will be shipped in February unless cold weather might damage it. If shipping is delayed, we will contact you to discuss the best time to ship.

For two consecutive years now, Greyscale has been my favorite wine of the tastings at Falltacular…and anyone who has seen those threads or been to the event knows how many wines are poured there!!

Jean & I had a ‘21 Merlot last night with dinner. Amazingly good, right out of the bottle and continued to improve as it continued to develop.

I think it was in just about everyone’s top 5 for Falltactular.

It was WOTN for a bunch.which is saying something with the 100+ wines in the lineup.

I saw something today that Napa Valley avg wine costs $97+ per bottle. Many folks sell a Cabernet from the vineyard we in Rutherford for $125-250. You paid under $45.

I store wine at their offsite facility a few miles away. The physical store is 2 blocks from us - the owner Matt Tomabene has great taste and we always find bottles we love there. Plus, they stock Madiera, which makes my wife very happy…
