2010 Elio Sandri Barolo Riserva - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (9/13/2017)
Clear light red. Very concentrated earthy nose that is already beginning to show tar, violets and red cherry fruit. Delicious dry red fruit and earth flavours and a very long tannic finish.
This is a beautiful traditional Barolo. Everything is here but in a very powerful but traditional way. Not over extracted or oaked. A very serious wine. (93 pts.)

2010 Elio Sandri Barolo Perno - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (9/13/2017)
This wine is designated Perno. It is the same wine as the regular Barolo. I think this designation is new for the 2010 bottling.
Bright light red. Spicy cherry and violets in a medium intense nose. Very elegant and floral. Dry concentrated cherry and earth flavours and a medium length tannic finish.
Not as concentrated or earthy as the Riserva. (92 pts.)

2015 Elio Sandri Langhe Nebbiolo - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Langhe DOC (9/13/2017)
Light red. Spicy cherry nose, medium minus intensity, very floral. Dry spicy cherry flavours and a dry tannic finish.
Needs up to 5 years in the cellar. Pretty serious for a Langhe. (90 pts.)

2015 Elio Sandri Barbera d’Alba - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d’Alba (9/13/2017)
Medium red. Very tight nose, spicy black cherry, very hard to pull out at this point. Black cherry and sea salt flavours. There is a fair bit of structure and of course acidity.
This needs a 5 year or so nap. However, I see my note differs from the ones below. It was pored from a half full Corovin bottle so it may have been more tired then tight. (88 pts.)
