Egly Ouriet VP

Disgorged December 2020, 89 months on the lees, so presumably 2012 base.
Really quite nice! Has a bit of the toasty oxidative Egly style, but still has fine acidity, nice tart citrus notes and a very long structured finish. Just very nice on the nose and palate. Yum!!

I had this last year and really disliked it. Egly is definitely not in my wheelhouse.

I am a huge fan of this bottling, just not the current pricing.

One of my favorites, such a shame that the price has gone through the roof.

Outside the vintage bottling, I like this wine and Crayeres BdN best in the Egly line-up. If you can find this from $150-180 I think it is an excellent buy

Add Egly Rose and I agree!

The VP is in my wheelhouse big time and I don’t think the current price is a problem considering how many vintages I missed on Gonon, Dom, Cristal etc etc while I was protesting the price increases that seem cheap now ugh.
