Going to be in Riverhead for business for a few days next week and looking for recs. Fresh seafood and solo dining options are a preference.
Anything worth visiting?
Been a long time but I always liked Noah’s in Greenport. The North Fork Table & Inn in Southold has long been top dog in the area.

North fork table and inn is heads & shoulders for “fine dining” in the area but the menu is fairly limited
For seafood, Jerry and the Mermaid is decent, Minnow at the Galley Ho is nice and Old Mill Inn is worth a look

Post-trip: Landed at LGA and stopped at Popei’s in Beth Page (slinging great seafood in a bar setting) on the drive out. Made it to Jerry and the Mermaid for a drink + the view but didn’t eat. Found myself in Greenport for an evening and tried to go to Little Creek Oyster Farm but it was closed for the night. Same thing for Noah’s. Meandered to Claudio’s Waterfront and it delivered with raw littlenecks and the fish of the day, fun to watch the ferry from the bar. Best meal of the (short) trip was lunch at Claws in West Sayville on the way back to LGA, great lobster roll and clam strips. Did visit Paumanok to try the Chenin and the Riesling but this ended-up being more of a beer trip for me.
