East Bay Area - New Burgundy-Focused Group - Great China Berkeley

We are gathering interest in a new Burgundy (+ Champagne) group to meet monthly-ish at Great China in Berkeley. James is super kind and depending on headcount, day/time preference can work with us on corkage, etc. He also has the best wine list in the East Bay to add a bottle into the mix. Ideal platform would be a theme, BYOB, and going a bit more mid-tier price point, learning new producers, revisiting favorites. Definitely won’t be a $2500/bottle group. (In this economy?!)
Please DM or reply here if interested. @SusieG this is what I’d texted you about, sorry for the delay!

This sounds awesome, I’d love to join in.

Hi @erinmcgrath, not sure my work travel schedule will allow frequent participation, but definitely would be interested in a B & C tasting group. Have done in the past similar private tasting parties for clients in the East Bay. Keep us posted on the first meet!

Please add me to the list. Given where I live, it would be tough to make weeknights, but I’d rather be kept in the loop than not.

I’m interested in joining! I’m in San Rafael, but Berkeley isn’t all that far, and Great China is awesome

Could you please add me to the list as well? I live in the south bay but would be able to attend during the weeknights.

Thanks all! I have started the list along with some Reddit r/wine folks who replied. Keep an eye here for a poll on dates that work for everyone. @Larry_Stein Might see what GC has available for Sundays too.

Very interested. In SF but willing to travel for great duck & Burgundy. Agreed with Larry - weeknights are challenging for me, but would love to share some bottles.
