More “alcohol” heat and much less complexity than the Pappy 20yr, but the finish is still remarkable.
At $30/btl, this is a great bourbon to sip on while you eye the Pappy.

I’ve purchased it as low as $24.99. One of my all time favorite QPR’s for Bourbon. Like it better than Woodford.
Yeah always sub $25 at Winex. Have gone through a lot of this. But sometimes I do find the heat a little much. But it is a lot of bang for your buck.

been drinking the 17 yr Eagle Rare and enjoying it. What’s this Pappy and does W Ex have it? I don’t like wood in the spirits.

The 17yr is much better than the 10yr old and worth the extra tariff imho.

saw 1.75’s of this at Costco the other day for $38
great price considering the 750’s are usually around $25
Eagle Rare 10 year is a great to-to Bourbon. I’m also now partial to Old Forester Signature, which is even more affordable.
Retailers in my area buy whole casks of this bottled for them. I believe the distillery sends them samples of 4-5 casks and they pick one, and they buy the whole cask bottled. Anyway, I’ve found the places near me can pick a good cask as their selections have always been better than standard eagle rare. Taste and pricing has always been a little better this way, although the standard bottling is ok. I’ve seen this with Buffalo trace as well, and liked the bottle I bought, but I don’t have any experience with Buffalo trace to compare it to the regular bottling.
At a whisky tasting a few years ago, the 17 year old did not stand out against the regular bottling.
It’s spelled “tutu”.
You’re welcome ![]()
Just picked up a 1.5L at Costco for $39. This is really tough to beat for the $$
