That $50 discount is almost a go for me! Now…if it were a $100…boom!
Why is it so expensive? It’s only a 90 point wine on Wine Spectator.
Free shipping?
I remember seeing a bottle at retail after release - around US$600. I remember thinking sure, this MIGHT appreciate over time to like US$1,200 but maybe I should pass because it’s not a great vintage … !
case quantities?
See $8.9b miss thread.

The more you buy, the more you save.
I paid $450 a bottle for four bottles a year after it was released.
An Assortiment 1991 DRC (mixed case of 12 with 1 RC, 3 LT etc.) was offered to me after release for 1.300 Deutschmark. Those were the days.

The 50 bucks reduction is a “joke” …
WS points are close to meaningless (imho) …
I haven´t tasted the RC 91 but all other (red) cuvees incl. LT - and it´s a GREAT vintage for DRC, and the wines are aproaching full maturity … imho the best vintage (for DRC) between 1990 and 1999.
Crazy as it seems, but DRC RC '91 went for $19,600 at a Christies auction (all in) back in December. Wild. I would have tried my hand at a new car…
From the Wine Market Journal, the average auction hammer has jumped up quite a bit over the years.
Cody beat me to it. I know everyone is being cute and funny, but this actually IS a great price for an incredible wine.
