For those who don’t know us, we’ve been active members on WineBerserkers pretty much since day 1! Larry has a Master’s Degree in Viticulture and Enology, teaches a course for UC Davis’s online Winemaking Certificate Program, is President of the Board of Directors of the Rhone Rangers, and is also on the Board of Directors for the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance.
tercero actually got its start with the 2006 vintage, making small amounts of wine for a number of years before Larry broke off from the larger winery he was working for and decided to go solo. We’ve always been fans of rhone varieties – our first vintage saw us produce syrah, grenache, mourvedre and grenache blanc. We’ve branched off from here to produce lots of other fun varieties as Larry’s curiosity gets piqued and new wines are added.

MMMMMMMMourvedre – All Things Mourvedre 6 Pack
I have been working with this fantastic variety for 20 years now, and I love it in all its forms. This 6 pack includes a bottle of our 2023 Mourvedre Rose, our 2023 Nouveau Mourvedre carbonic wine, a vertical of our SBC Mourvedres (2014-2016) our 2015 Verbiage Rouge, our CdP blend that includes a good dollop of Mourvedre. Geeky Pinot Pack
As some of you may know, we started making Pinot Noir in 2020 after 15 years of resisting to do so. Why did we start? 1) 2020 was a year to do something different; 2) I got remarried and Jill LOVES pinot and said if I didn’t start making it . . . and 3) We should not ever say ‘never’ or ‘always’ in life (with a few exceptions of course). And when we started making them, we ‘geeked out’ by not only offering a blend of multiple clones but by offering each of these clones on their own, all from the same site! This is truly a study in what makes each clone different as the wines were all handled the same – 100% stem inclusion/aged in older French oak. This is a limited offering of a vertical of 3 clones we bottled in 2020 – Clones 115, 114 and Pommard 4 - along with 3 bottles of our very popular 2021 blended bottling. Mourvedre Rose – Oh Baby

Our Mourvedre Roses have been a consistent hit not only on WB but in general – it’s not your father’s rose for sure! This is rose that tends to show lots of tropical notes and has more ‘texture’ than most and is not an acid bomb (though there’s enough to make this crisp for sure). It’s a rose that can be served closer to cellar temperature and you’ll be just as happy if not happier. The 2023 vintage is our new release (we like to hold them back a bit) – and we now make less of this than we used to. So hurry up and snag some already. We are selling both 6 packs and 12 packs. Shipping Information
The only states that we cannot ship to are MS, NH, UT and HI. The following states are through third part brokers so an additional fee is required – AL, DE, KY, MA, MI, NH, OK and VA. An additional $30 for 6 pack orders and $50 for case orders will be added on.
