I purchased domaine fruit website showed donaine and linked to meadows domaine notes but wine arrived with the negocient label. Merchant is willing to do right but thinks because yields were low they sold im under negocient label. I can’t find anything online to support this theory. Anyone with insight,?
My understanding is negocient and domaine are distinct
I bought some 22 I think, ordered Domaine, but seemed to be neg label., importer GM assured me that it was indeed domaine wine. It sold through fine, no issues, but was a bit odd.
Forgive me if I am clouding up the issue, but I always thought the “Champs Royaux” was Fevre’s negoce village Chablis.
The importer for NY (Vintus) lists one domaine wine for village Chablis, other than the Champs Royaux. I checked the wholesale pricing (only 2023 available) and it just says “William Fevre Chablis”. The tech sheet it leads me to from the supplier has the details on the domaine wine. The average price would be in the low to mid 40’s, so I would assume that is indeed the domaine wine. The Champs Royaux on average is just a touch cheaper.
That’s the first time I’ve seen the new labels. According to the Fevre website they did make both and yours is indeed the negoce label. I don’t believe the 2024 domaine is available in NY yet. The website you mentioned has the 2024 domaine as “pre arrival”.
