Domaine Cellar Trading

Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday! Has anyone purchased from Domaine Cellar Trading (https://winemarket.domainestorage.com/)? If so, what was your experience? Thank you all and have a great Sunday!

I have. Very good experience overall (remember: they charge 10% tax so consider that when buying). The manager @Ian_Dorin is great and responsive.

Yes. Especially convenient if you store with Domaine, but I’ve had very good experiences.

I’m not sure about the guy who runs it. Is @Ian_Dorin even a real name?! :neener:

yes. I’v had great experiences buying there. Plus I assume most of the wine sold is stored at their facilities so there’s that.

Yup, really good experiences buying and selling. Always have it sent via their refrigerated shipping to my Domaine account in NJ, so no comment on shipping

Yes, I’m a Domaine client and have bought from them. Tried to consign some wines with them but $20-25 riesling isn’t interesting enough for them @Ian_Dorin :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I bought a mixed case of Burgundy last Fall from them that they shipped to ATL: Jouan, Bouchard enfants, a Mugnier. Good service. Professional. I would use them again.

I wouldn’t trust @Ian_Dorin. The guy roots for the University of Xichigan. :face_vomiting: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That’s why I WOULD trust him!

I’m a Domaine client and have purchased a lot from Cellar Trading with great results. The pricing before tax is usually reasonable and provenance has been great.

Only caveat to be aware of is that their listings don’t identify where the wine is coming so delivery timeframes are unpredictable - it’s therefore not the best option if you need a bottle immediately. I had a single bottle of Chablis that once took a year to show up from France and some orders that took several months… but my collection is of the size where I usually don’t care so long as it eventually arrives.

Thanks Rick!

One of the things that we are working feverishly to get better at is timing. We are finally in a great spot where very little wine is impacted by timing. Our overseas shipments all come via air freight now, to prevent those annoying lags. We should have over 99% of our stock in house before the end of January!
