Dom. Fourrier 2007 Gevrey-Chambertin V.V.

Had a bottle of this with dinner tonight. Very nice. Deep purple color with no bricking. Very nice and ample nose of turned earth, wet fur and crushed red fruits. Very Gevrey. A tad tanic at first blush, but then it opened up in short order. Very enjoyable now although there is no rush to drink it. A nice mix of red and black fruits on the palate, reds predominating a good bit, with good extraction. Almost on the elegant side for a Gevrey and above village level in quality. A very nice bottle for what it is. 90 points or so. I’m going back to where I bought it and am going to try to buy more.

Well I certainly hope not! It just came out. Had the Clos Salon bottling a month or so ago and was lightish, but very nice. Hands off for me for a few years.

No bricking expected. I just structure my notes to comment on the rim in all cases, at least when write the note while tasting.
