My fiancée experimented with masticating juicers a couple of years ago to better use the bounty of her garden, but the quality of them was terrible. Each of them only lasted a couple of months, so she gave up. I’m wondering if anyone has had success and found a durable one that they like?
I have a Nama J2 cold press juicer which I highly recommend. I haven’t had it that long but use it a lot and it’s a beast.

Thanks for the Nama J2 recommendation. I see some great reviews on various websites. I wish Consumer Reports was still reliable, but something seems to have happened that’s compromised their authority.

Oh, yeah, we ended up getting the Nama J2 and it’s been five stars. Highly recommended for all the reasons stated.

Damn. I was all excited when I saw this thread. I’ve been looking for a decent, old fashioned reemer-styled orange juicer that doesn’t fall apart the first time you push down hard and thought this thread was going there. While the Nama J2 is in the price range, it’s not for orange juice.
Anyone have a recommendation for a good, old-fashioned orange juicer?
Just purchased Omega Effortless Batch Juicer. Delivered next week, so next weekend will be fun. Also, twelve 18 oz. glass bottles coming from Amazon. Primary reasoning for purchase is the crazy cost of high quality juice now in markets along with having several fruit trees at home that end up each year with high number of fruit left hanging at yearend! With several kids at home (along with daily juice mornings for wife and I) should pay for itself within the next 8-12 months.
