I’m a happy Corkscrews customer, albeit of their Boulder location. Great service, and great people. Their Denver location is about 12 miles from Littleton, which to me feels reasonably close (but definitely not walkable).
Welcome to Denver, where a glass of wine goes a lot further (at least until you acclimate to the altitude).
Corkscrews is a quality outfit with good People (Brooks, Elgin et al.), and there’s also Vino Vault (which used to be Wine Storage of Denver, it’s in the same facility).
I recently turned a storage room into a wine room, I GCed it myself. Happy to share my experiences if that’s of help, shoot me a PM.
Welcome to Denver! I can’t really help with either question, but I did have some experience with Wine Storage of Denver-great place although you wouldn’t know it from the outside. It looks like it has changed management/ownership? We built a small wine storage space in our basement-a friend who has experience helped us but he doesn’t do this as a profession-he just had some time available and helped us out.
First, thanks for all of the responses. Have connected re: offsite storage based on. your guidance!
Second, and I should have asked this during the first post…where do you shop for wine in the Denver area? I’m a bit of an omnivore and very open-minded. Looking for both great deals on weeknight wines and unique/interesting choices for the cellar.
Paging Jdbramm. There’s another topic on this, will post link below, but a few places to consider:
-The Vineyard Wine Shop in Cherry Creek is a bit far away from you, but good staff and selection
-Denver Wine Merchant up by I70 and Park Ave West, also far away, but a different and also solid selection. Make sure to ask about what’s in their “cellar”
-The Costco and Total Wine are probably both going to be closer to Littleton, depending on where in Littleton you live. Best pricing in Denver if you’re not getting wine shipped in (and I think a lot of people do get wine shipped)
-Heritage Wine at Arapahoe and Quebec I think, a bit closer to Littleton than the Total Wine, has a decent selection and staff isn’t bad
-Mondo Vino used to have a good selection when I’d go in there, but their pricing is significantly higher than anyone else’s.
