Anyone been to the Del Frisco’s in Orlando lately? I’m not a huge steakhouse fan, but am interested to know if they have a good wine list.
Cannot speak to the list in Orlando, but the original location here in TX has a pretty wide and deep list with most of the CA cults represented. Problem is that the pricing is in the stratosphere…think 3 to 3 times retail markup…and that is from the low to the high end.
The food is also pretty expensive for what it is. More of an expense account destination IMHO.
I have not been there lately but they used to have a very good list in terms of quality. But it always had very high markups. I would expect both of those things to be the same, as it is still owned by the same family that has owned it since it opened.
FWIW, it is the best steakhouse in Orlando IMO.
Thanks, guys. I actually called the restaurant yesterday to inquire and they said they’d be more than happy to fax a copy of the list (they didn’t have it electronically). They were extremely friendly and the woman with whom I initially spoke called me back immediately (she had to ask someone about having the ability to e-mail the list).
I’ll probably check it out and hunt for some “reasonable” markup bottles - there are usually a few gems, I’ve found.
