Deaver Ranch

I enjoyed a 2020 Turley Zinfandel from Deaver Ranch in Amador recently. I did notice that Turley stopped making this wine after the 2021 vintage. Do these grapes that date back to the mid 1800’s still go to any other winery? From what I can see the Deaver family winery closed. Is the vineyard still there? Asking here as I could not find anything online.

Thanks,
Tom

Terra D’Oro did a 2021

Not 100%, but pretty sure it was all Trinchero and Renwood and now Deaver Vineyards…

@bddehn

Is Chaim still making Southern Exposure under Di Arie label?

I don’t see any reference to Deaver after the 21 vintage in Cellartracker so I’d assume the fruits is being sold to a large producer and put into some sort of appellation wine as opposed to a single vineyard wine. I mean the other option is the vineyard has been repurposed but I doubt that. This happened to Turley Mead Ranch many years ago when the owners of Mead Ranch directed all the fruit to Beringer IIRC leaving Turley without a Mead Ranch Zin. I’d imagine Tegan would know…
