De Negoce offer (Part 2)

Well, let’s hope that “someone” puts #57 on discount/Sale! :face_with_monocle:
After all, it’s Christmas time……:christmas_tree::crossed_fingers::wine_glass:

I opened a N.207 tonight. Like #77, it’s just fantastic. At $10+ per bottle, it’s just a steal.

Hi Brian— For the record, I brought the no. 50. It was the first bottle that I opened from the case that I bought in the fall of 2020. I did a 48 hour slo-ox/decant. I agree that it was easily among the top 2 or 3 wines we tried that night and am surprised by all the negative reviews. I During the recent sale, I was tempted to buy another case, but like others on this forum, I have too much wine.

FWIW— No. 190 was probably my 2nd favorite of the wines we tried that night. I think Cam offered it as an early BF special, but it sold out before I had a chance to order a case.

Latest email “Tranche-A-Palooza: California Tranche 1 Offers” has some tantalizing extra details about a couple of recent futures lots:

Lot 370 | 2021 Santa Ynez Valley Red Blend: “We will neither confirm, nor deny the chatter on this wine on the Wine Berserkers board, but suffice to say Lot 370 comes to us from one of the finest producers in Ballard Canyon […]”

Lot 365 | 2021 Santa Barbara County Syrah: “This wine is part of a new release form this producer and waaay cooler than I had originally thought.”

Any industry nerds see anything new in these tea leaves?

I accidentally requested a case of 240 shipped from LTS before I realized the cold front coming. South Texas low was 19 last night and 15 the night before (I don’t know what course it followed but obviously anything north of us would have been even colder) . Loaded on truck this am at 5am. When temps were around 20. Delivered at noon today with temps in high 30s. Coming off the truck the bottle checked in at a cool 48 degrees. Not bad….

As I recall, the consensus was that 370 was The Hilt and 365 was Bedrock. I don’t see anything new here that would dissuade me.

Between traveling and being sick for the last month, I am just getting around to looking at some of the recent offers.

N.365 is a dead ringer for Bedrock’s new Ángeles de Arena Syrah. I was already regretting only buying 2 bottles of it during the Bedrock winter release. I just went for a case of this and do a side-by-side at some point. I am wondering if they did multiple blends and this is the one that didn’t make the cut.

I am now regretting not buying more gift cards at that 15% discount.

I think 370 was surmised to be Jonata Todos - that’s what the guess is on denegociants.com

Thanks Kevin. Drinking 77 right now at cellar temp and it’s just as good as I remember. Just bought another case of 207.

I really struggled with how much to get in gift cards. Hard to imagine any of us being sorry we bought too many. Just thought going in for 5K would have been too much temptation.

Let me know how #207 is these days. I’m a huge #77 fan, but #207 was nowhere near as good when I tried it on release. Hope it has integrated a bit.

Sorry for the late reply, just saw your reply. Never tasted Wine Guerilla wines or even heard of them before google searching them as the answer to what this was. Also have a 6 gallons of year old Zin which I will be bottling soon. So I passed.

Whole family had COVID last week and I didn’t come on here or even really read the dN offers and I missed 15% off Gift Cards as good as cash for any offers in future including ones w/ discounts?

WOOF

Sorry to hear it Matthew. I hope you’re all feeling better and celebrating properly today. I got some low tech decanting solution that agitates the wine in the decanter for faster opening. Sounds gimmicky to me, but I guess my wife was sick of me saying I needed four hours notice to serve a cab.

I let my logical side kick in and made sure I didn’t blow the budget for the month. Probably could have gone for more, but I’m running out of space to store them. Plus BD14 and winter lists/clubs are just around the corner.

Well, I already spent almost all of my gift cards, DOH!! Non-Buyers remorse for more++ Gift Cards.
After consideration I got a case of #66. The reviews are “mixed”, no gold medals, hmmm…
It scored a Silver @ 2021 Sommeliers Challenge, listed above 141, 50, 199, 100 & 200,etc.
Also a Sliver @ L.A. Int’l Wine Awards, listed above 68, 100, 141, 199, 240, 192, etc.
Yes Wine Judgements can be very Fickle! That said, I hope that #66, proves to be a Happy Purchase.
I was very concerned about Non-Buyers Remorse on #66, that problem is solved. Cheers! Christmas Joy!

I didn’t recall N.207 being as good as N.77 upon opening the first bottle, but I also really loved N.77. The most recent bottle was very much loved by my wife and me and motivated me to buy another case

General question for cam. When you have an offer that you state “don’t post on social media…” I assume you mean this forum included. I think that is what most of us interpret but in a traditional sense I would interpret that statement as “ I shouldn’t make a tiktok dance with that wine offer” or shouldn’t post about it on Facebook/Instagram for my great aunt to comment on….I would categorize this as a “forum”, not social media. But I assume your intent is that you don’t want the good deal that is not particularly “opaque” such you want to protect the primary vineyard from it being a searchable deal. For precision of language, I would say “don’t post on social media or forums”

I realize this question is for Cam, but you should make a tiktok dance with every wine offer. I have never been to tiktok, but that would probably make me a user.
