Any guesses as to what winery the Coombesville offer is from?
It’s sold out now. Looks like this one had < 1/10th the # of cases that the first one had though. 420 cases vs 6666 of the first offer.
De Negoce 4 is out…they hopscotched over it because of blending…
Merlot from Stagecoach…my guess is Miners…
Meteor vineyard. Cam had a 2012 Cabernet from them…
Offer 6, 2017 Cab Sauv, “composed primarily of Oakville and Rutherford benchland fruit with a bit of Howell Mountain and Calistoga” 14.6 Alc
Went for a case
Can someone explain the difference between CH and De Negoce?
Does CH make its own blends with extra grapes?
Does De Negoce let the vineyard winemaker make the blend and offer the exact same bottling as would be in its standard label?
I really like this idea, but should I just be buying smaller lots of CH is my question?
Main differences (I think)
De Negoce has not bottled the wines prior to sale. They sell, then bottle.
De Negoce is owned by CH. CH no longer owns CH but will consults there.
I think the rest is the same? I do not think all the De Negoce wines are the same as the winemakers but in a private label. I think it’s bulk grapes and similar to the winemakers other stuff but not the same. This part I’m less certain of.
In for 2 cases #6 and will pause till I actually try this stuff. But expecting good stuff and great every day drinking wine.
I love the idea.
Just wondering if I am better off buying assorted CH bottles as opposed to having to take a case down.
My impression (maybe Cameron can affirm) is that this label is aimed more squarely at the “premium” end.
This offering was very tempting, but I’m already in for 2 cases of his Cab. Fortunately, sounds like Cameron has other stuff coming, which will justify my irrational wine buying practices.
I think this seems like a better value to me but I have no idea. I have browsed the CH website and there is basically no cab so there is no apples/apples. I’m a cab drinker pretty much exclusively so all these offers shouted out to me.
In for a case of #6. Have to try it at least once, but doubt will be able to ship it until fall.
In for a case. Second offer I bit on (other was #1). Looking forward to the pinot, chard, sauv blanc and rose down the line.
I ordered a case of # 6 :
Priced at $70+/bottle and composed primarily of Oakville and Rutherford benchland fruit with a bit of Howell Mountain and Calistoga to round out the blend, this 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the better values in under $100 Napa Cabernet to begin with…at $156/case or $13/bottle it is simply stunning.
Thus far I have purchased the first offering, the merlot, and the most recent offering. I’m really looking forward to the Pinot offering. may purchase 2 cases.
I may have missed it…has Cameron provided any details on the Pinot?
How long until any of y’all receive and can taste one of the de Negoce wines? I’m not a buyer, but nonetheless curious what the impressions will be.
says bottles next week then ships shortly after but guessing most will hold over summer so i doubt many review it anytime soon
His latest email just mentioned that for those who aren’t keen on CS to stay tuned for other varieties such as Pinot, Rose, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc etc.
No information on the Pinot yet.

The weather in NorCal may just be cool enough for me to gamble and take delivery. I wonder if he will offer a pickup option. If he does, I’ll go pick them up and sample them ASAP!
