I just received the e-mail blast below from CULT wine in Napa. I feel pretty confident that I never signed up for this list in any capacity, so I think somebody else sold my information to their marketing folks. It did give me a chuckle on their selling points. The Cougar Town name drop is what seals the deal for me.

I recently started getting email from a “Capture Winery”. I know I didn’t sign up for them and I’m careful about who I do sign up for… so I wonder who gave up my info?
Are they related to Draxton Wines at all? We stumbled on this winery one day because Ridge had an event and couldn’t accommodate us. I thought the name for this wine was rather silly, but it was awfully nice to drink.
We’ve known each other for a couple of decades. He is a fixture in the local wine scene. I helped him on a trip to Brasil to research Cachaça once and he has written about me and my work both when I was in restaurants and, now, the store / bar. No big deal really…

I believe CULT is part of the Beau Vigne group. I could be wrong, but I was looking for tasting notes on Soda Canyon Cellars and found they were all related somehow…again, I think
