As a new poster, perhaps I am playing fast and loose with relevance here
, but hopefully will be granted a mulligan if this is the case. I recently purchased a bottle of Patron tequila, which has a cork “stopper” instead of a screw cap. While I am familiar with corked wine, I have never heard of any liquor being corked. Still, I swear this tequila tastes corked. Is this possible?
Sure, I’ve had corked single malt scotch, I’ve heard of corked
but never experienced that. Take it back to the liquor store.
You bet. I’ve had several corked scotches, as well as a lot of corked apples, carrots, and even corked prilosec. (there was even a tylenol recall for corked tylenol–it was the Bromide instead of the chloride form of the compound, but basically the same. contaminated wood pallets in the storage facility.)
I’ve had corked Patron.
Anything can be corked. I’ve had corked Lurisia water that was in a pop top bottle. Cork contamination isn’t limited to wine nor does it necessarily come from corks.
I had a corked baseball bat once.
Welcome to the board, Mr. Sosa.
