Copertino Riserva has been one of my longtime good supermarket wines. It’s usually released with about 10 years of age. Right around now (January 2026) my local Whole Foods has a mix of the 2015 and 2016 vintages. It has enough of each that I can confidently conclude: the 2016 vintage has moved to a NOMACORC synthetic closure, while the 2015 vintage has wooden corks. Just in case anybody was keeping track.
Hard to keep track of anything when you don’t even tell which wine you are talking about!
Presumably the coop wine - Cantina Sociale Cooperativa Copertino Riserva. It may be the best wine for the price that you’ll ever find in a supermarket. Interesting that they are moving to NOMACORC, given their focus on holding back. I can attest from experience that the wine holds up beautifully over time.

I wonder if this is the same wine as Cupertinum Copertino Riserva - at least Cantina Sociale Cooperativa di Copertino directs to the Cupertinum website and they seem to share the same address in Copertino.
Yes, that is the same one. As Mark said usually released about 9-10 years after the vintage. Still right around $10 at my local store in NYC.
