My Alicante vertical arrived today along with a bottle of port from the raffle - can’t wait to try them. Really enjoyed the 2018 Alicante from last year’s BD!

I opened the 2018 Alicante Bouschet this past weekend and enjoyed it alongside a grilled tri tip, Santa Maria style. This was an excellent wine that complimented the meal quite well. So well, that we also opened the Zin port and had a glass of that with a few dark chocolate sea salt truffles.
I’m really, really happy with my purchase and will look to pick up more Deaver wines in the future.

I’ve now gone through all four and really enjoyed them.
I’ll add that the Mission Port was wonderful.
