CLOSED -- Ladd Cellars -- Ageworthy Pinot Noir and Chardonnay -- Old School in Every Way

Thanks Eric! In for a mixed case. And thanks to everyone else for sharing their raving reviews here

Hey, thanks for taking the plunge! Donā€™t hesitate to give the wines. Some air! Woo Hoo

In for the Voile chardonnays and the classic pinots. Iā€™m a huge West Sonoma Coast pinot noir fan - will be tracking what you are doing in that AVA with interest!

Thanks Eric! Iā€™m with you on the Sonoma Coast in all its facets.

Another interesting related area is the southern section of Russian River right adjacent to Sebastopol to at gets access tothe cooling costal air plus the interesting soils there. Thanks!

One of the highlights of BDay lately has been access to the Cuvee Voile. Nobody is making wines that mimic classic Jura wines the Eric is. No one even dares and Eric does it with ease. In addition, as Brian notes, I canā€™t think of anyone making Loire style Cab Franc with the sort of fidelity Eric is. True Europhile wines from CA.

As always, Iā€™m just being honest. Thank you for sharing the fruits of your labor with us!

and, FYI, I edited my post from yesterday. It was an '18 Voile, not '22, that had that sommelier wetting his pants. I was surprised to see none of the '22 in my cellar at present, and immediately thought it extremely odd that I would have brought my lone bottle to a meal this early in its life; alas, I chose one with 4 more years of bottle age, and a vintage for which I have more than one in the cellar. If were confused and assuming I had been mistaken about the '22, you were right.
