Claude Kolm Hacked, Wine Hog plagiarized

Thought I would take a peek at Claude Kolms excellent website The Fine Wine Review to peruse some of his notes, sadly his site has been hacked and you cant access any of his entries,
also over on Wine Hog which is Steen Ohmans site he has published a think piece today complaining about his work and maps getting reproduced without permission by other sites and possibly someone getting a book published using his plagiarized material.
Crazy days on the wine interweb

Claude sent out an email a few days ago about the hack. Terrible.

Sad news.

I don’t know what Claude or Wine Hog were using, but keeping proprietary content secure in a WordPress site is more complex than it would appear.

It would appear so.

Thanks for the kind words and sympathy above. I have a new website (https://the-fine-wine-review.blogspot.com/) and am in the process of posting my notes on 2017 Burgundies (mostly from barrel or tank, a few from bottle) and some 2016 Burgundies tasted from bottle this past October and November and will be putting up other wines recently tasted. In addition, I am reposting the content that was wiped out in the hack (starting with the most recent posts), but due to formatting needs, it is not a speedy process.

Note: I do not charge for access to my website, there is no advertising, and I have no commercial interests whatsoever in wine. I do my website out of passion as a labor of love.

I haven’t read your blog, but really appreciate your posts. I must get around to reading it!
