There is so much excellent coverage of the NBA’s love of great wine, but I thought this was an interesting article on CJ McCollum’s relationship to Oregon pinot. It turns out that the wine that really sparked his obsession with wine was a Walter Scott pinot.

David Adelsheim did a wine-maker’s dinner here in Maine a few years back (2015 or 2016-ish). I remember he was impressed that the total price for the dinner including wines was $35. He said something akin to, “I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a winemaker’s dinner for $35.” with a humble smile creeping onto his face so that I couldn’t quite tell if he was impressed or felt a little bruised.
