Chilean Chardonnay - worth trying? (Viña Errázuriz Wild Ferment 2014, specifically)

Even though I receive countless email offers from countless wine sellers, this one happened to catch my eye and make me wonder if I should give it a go. With descriptions like ‘Puligny-esque’ certainly I’m interested, but I’m guessing it’s really not like Puligny. Regardless, CT reviews are really positive, so I looked deeper into pricing, and around $17/bottle it’s something I’d love to try, as CA Chardonnay is far too pricey for what I like, and same goes for white Burgundy (plus that pesky pre-mox issue)

Anybody have experience with this wine, or other Chilean Chardonnays of quality?

I have tried a few while I was in Santiago few years back and over wine events in the city. I guess if a new world chard isn’t overly buttery and creamy, it’s marketed as ‘puligny-esque’. I have tried Errazuiz and Arboleda from Casablanca valley, Aconcagua valley. I would stick to these two cooler areas as opposed to maipo or colchagua. They are GREAT values at sub $20. Clean, precise wines with good acidity but lacking dimensions that a great Puligny would have. Definitely worth a try!
