Hi Joshua, that sounds good to me!

Thanks for the interest, Ryan!
Maybe we can get a few of the other Chicago folk, @Clayton_Wai-Poi or @Keith_A_k_e_r_s (if he is still in town)? Or, of course, anyone else who wants to knock back some white Burg (@Bweiss ?)

Best,
Josh

If the time works, I’m in.

If I lived in Chicago, I’d happily join! Alas, I’m in Portland these days and not sure when I’ll visit Chicago next

Hi all,

It looks like we may have a quorum here, so I am going to throw out a few dates and places. Open to suggestions from others, @Bweiss or anyone else, who may have a tighter schedule than mine. Thurs , 10/24 could be a good one, or Friday 10/25 or Tues, 10/22? Domaine, uh Uovo, could work, though we’d have to source food. S.K.Y., maybe on a Tuesday, when I think they have no corkage. (Also, Apolonia, their less expensive establishment maybe, though I don’t know how they handle byob.) Obviously, we want food that goes well with white wine, so Vinci’s, for example, would not be a good idea. There are a couple of seafood places in Chinatown on the Chicago byob thread that might be suitable, but I don’t personally know much about them. I invite real Chicagoans–unlike me, a recent transplant–to please weigh in.

10/24 is a good day for me FWIW. Domaine / Uovo is ideal. Easy enough to order in food as well.

Hello all, I would like to attend. Prefer tues 10/22.

Hi,

I can make that Tuesday work, if @Bweiss, @R_Smith1 and others can? Everyone please state their preference? On site, I admit it’s harder for me to drink much wine without food these days, so I would prefer a sitdown place. But if people like Domaine, I get stop by Eataly and get some cheese and things to hold start us off.

I think I can make that Tuesday work.

Domaine just tends to be easy, so it would be my preference for a Tuesday, but I can be flexible. I hear you on food, and happy to plan ahead there so we can have something delivered.

Maybe you guys can forage some giant floaters out back.

They would make a good pairing.

Looking forward to the 22nd. What start time do we want to aim for?

Bringing a ‘20 Dominique Lafon Meursault

Nice bottle! I was thinking 5:30? I’ll change it above and add this info.

Looking forward,
Josh

I’ll be there

Thanks, Rohit,

For confirming. It would be good if the others who are intending to come would do so as well, even if they don’t know what bottle they are bringing. I might grab some cheeses and such like at Eataly, even if we also aim to order food, so it would be good to know how many we are.

I’m in. Will pass on food, but will bring some speck & cheese.

Sounds good on both counts, Patrick,
