.This year we are bringing some serious star power with featured winery Weingut Leipold being represented by none other than young superstar winemaker, Peter Leipold!! Peter trained under Klaus Peter Kell and Liger-Belair. Additionally we will have Eric Asimov, the Chief Wine Critic of the New York Times, leading a discussion on the present and future of Silvaner in the world in the afternoon. Not to mention a panel of Master Sommeliers to lead a deep dive into the diversity of Silvaner through terroir, style and place.
Capped off with an incredible celebratory dinner showcasing Silvaner’s amazing ability to pair with food — all serving as a fund-raiser for charity. This is a six course dinner with all wine included you are welcome to byo as well for the afterparty This year we will be supporting Bigger Table a local Chicago non-profit organization fighting for food security by securing donations of ingredients, expertise, manufacturing, and more to produce healthy foods for food banks and local food pantries. Without Bigger Table, none of these donated food products would exist – and, in many cases, the ingredients would have become food waste.
