Chave Hermitage label question

All bottles changed in ‘09 to “l’hermitage” label, be they for europe, the US, or the bottles destined for mars with Jean Louis’ pet monkey Gonzo.

From the same vintage?

2002 was not a bad vintage for Chave either. The wine is quite good, and still going strong. Out of magnum, it’s one of my favorite wines to drink now.

It’s amazing how much 2008 Chave we’ve sold in the last month or so, I think folks opened it and enjoyed it. I had it on release, and loved it then.

I’ll check again tomorrow and report back. I thought I saw both labels in 2009.

2008 Chave is a really good wine, one of the best of this smaller vintage, but it is really young and primary. Can be tasted, but is still lacking so many details that follows with age. If I´ve got a dozen no problem to open one, but otherwise I´d hold them for 10+ years

I think I’ve starred at the 2008 for too long. I checked the 2009 (us import) and it says L’Hermitage.

Gonzo the monkey thanks you, Ian.

Was glad I could double check!

If you needed further reassurance, I’ve got some 2010s from a sure source, and label is the same.
