Chateau Palmer winemaker Thomas Duroux in Washington DC on 13 January

Hello fellow wine berserkers,

While visiting Bordeaux during the harvest, I spoke to development director Bernard de Laage de Meux at Chateau Palmer, who told me that winemaking director Thomas Duroux will be traveling to the the East Coast, and then I asked why not pass through DC?

It looks like he will do so, on 13 January. I should be able to confirm this for certain by end of this week, but if anyone is interested in joining Duroux for a dinner and blind tasting of some 10 wines - likely to include a couple from the 80s (the oldest) up to most recent vintages as well as two Alter Egos - let me know.

Just trying to get a sense of interest for now, so private message me or just post on this thread.

Chrs,
Panos

I would be interested.

Thomas is a good man and a very talented winemaker.

Come on down Dan. You’re the next contestant of Bdx is right!

Assuming I’m not out of town for work, I would be very interested in attending. My wife may be as well.

I met him a few years ago in LA when he came to see Jeff Leve. Nice guy!

Eric

You sure that was just not in one of Jeb’s dreams?

never had one btl before, but I will go try it,heard it’s a good wine, ppl from Asia love it.

When Palmer hits it, they make Margaux as sexy as it gets. The 61, 66, 70, 83, 89, 99 are all just amazing.

I would certainly be interested.
