Happy coincidence has us in Charleston this Monday morning through Thursday morning.
Would love to link up with anyone in town.

I’m out of town this week, sorry to miss you! @Scott_Brunson may be back from Florida though
Feel free to dm me for some recommendations for things to do or places to eat/drink
Thanks, Mark. Likewise! It was very last minute, but gosh it’s nice to be here. Haven’t been back since COVID.
Loose plan below. Given this extension is unexpected, I am out of wine so slight pref for spots with good lists. Any thoughts?
Today: Lunch BBQ and dinner TBD (only day Verns will be open for us)
Tuesday: Lunch at Malagon (tortilla) and dinner at Zero George
Weds: Lunch at Chez Nous and dinner tbd
Outside of that, I’m actually off completely so while Nicole is working I’ll be putzing around. Might try to fish a little, we’ll walk the downtown, maybe head over to Sullivan’s. Oh, and the Tippling house was mentioned to me as a spot not to miss.
Pretty good agenda so far. If you’re looking for another fine dining spot, Charleston Grill has the best wine list in town, and food to match. Costa is another.
Definitely get the lamb skewers and squid ink fideo noodles at Malagón.
Tippling House is fantastic. One of the best seafood spots in town is block away, Chubby Fish. They don’t take reservations and the wait can get a bit crazy, so the move is to check in at the restaurant then go to Tippling House while waiting for your table.
Graft is another great wine shop/wine bar. If you’re looking to find and drink something with age on it, stop by Wine & Company
Not sure where you are staying, but the restaurant Jackrabbit Filly is wildly delicious, a bit outside of downtown. There is a nice little drag of bars + restaurants there. The wine bar there, Stems and Skins, is also very nice.
If you want oysters, imo the best in town are at Nico, just over the bridge on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant.
Any of the 167 family of restaurants is a great option for seafood. The original,167 Raw, is tough to get a table at without a long wait. The 167 Sushi bar is one of my favorites, and their other restaurant Bar 167 has a great cocktail program and a tasty small and focused menu.
Most of the restaurants on the water (anywhere in the area) are so-so to appalling, so it’s best to treat them as a bar stop.
Which bbq place are you going to hit?
We’re still in The Great White (sand) South.
All the thanks, sir.
For BBQ was thinking Lewis, but for no particular reason.
We’re at Dewberry.
